Poem for my husband written for Valentine's Day (Untitled)

Let me tell you of something we possess.
Every day it grows stronger.
Forever and always it will always remain.
Just when I think it can't go deeper.
You prove me wrong and it just becomes clearer.
What I am talking about is not a passing thing.
More than emotion, it's purer than that.
This begins and last without condition.
It's the one true gift that can never be taken back.
Such a valuable thing yet it holds no monetary value.
No one heart can contain it.
It can't be controlled or manipulated.
But held carefully and truly valued.
Yet it can't simply be put into words, but described and shown as:
Patience.*
Kindness.*
Not Boastful.*
Not Envious.*
Not Proud.*
Demonstrated by God Himself,
We strive merely to imitate it, but yet cannot perfect it.
Truly a gift from above.
What I am describing here can only be true love.'
* I Corinthians 13:4

Two Hearts

Two hearts joined can never be broken.
They function as one.
Fitting perfectly together like gears in a clock,
One was created for the other
With each beat, love
Grows more intensely.
All emotion is felt through adjoining hearts.
When one hurts, the other hurts.
When one rejoices, the other rejoices.
These hearts were formed by God with one goal:
To be joined together.
