Peering through my window, I spy a fresh blanket of undisturbed snow, untouched by animal or human. At this moment I am reminded of God's grace and immeasurable magnificence. the snow stands as a representation of purity given through the graciousness of God through the ever present Jesus. Savoring the moment with child-like awe, I feel the snow beckoning, urging my presence among it. The first step out my door is greeted with a crunch and a cold wind brushing against my face. Snow is steadily falling, and it is as if God's forgiveness and renewal is pouring down on me. Still in my child-like state, I run out into my yard and grab a handful of soft icy snow. Without hesitation, I throw it in the air and let out a giggle as it quickly trickles down to the ground. I realize now God wants us to have this same child-like excitement and anticipation for Him. Unlike the snow however, God will never melt away, He is there always waiting and beckoning you and I to spend time with and delight ourselves in Him.
P.S. I wrote this when it was snowing, obviously it's not snowing now, I am just now getting around to posting it. :)

Sensing Spring
One fine spring day I ventured to a vast field filled with assorted flowers and people. The breeze was just right for flying a kite. Many children were out and about with kites tethered to them with bold colors. Parents were assisting their children, and admiring the enjoyment of their little sprout. The aroma of flowers enticed my nostrils. Sitting on my blanket I took in every site to see. Everything from the tree branches swaying in the wind to the little ants scavenging for food. Each and every thing was a work of art, painted and crafted by the Almighty God. It was magnificent to see every detail that made that made earth's splendor complete. The grass was a rich green and the trees were full of colorful leaves or blooms. Nothing was exactly alike, but each had its own features and character. Almost everyone of my senses was engaged. The breeze was refreshing to my skin, the children's laughter delightful to my ears. The sweet smell of flowers soothing to my soul. The pure beauty of everything was almost too much to behold with my eyes.
I took great joy in everything I saw and experienced. For a moment all of the world's cares had passed away. I laid down on my blanket, and gazed at the sky. I watched as the kites fluttered about, in the mid-day sky. Every cloud had its own distinct shape. Flood of memories came to my mind as I reminisced pretending as a child to make shapes out of clouds. I found myself doing the same thing as I spied a cloud that I deemed an airplane. Brightly the sun beamed down on me. Enjoying the warmth, I closed my eyes and let the rays absorb into my body It doesn't get any better than this.
